No Tricks, All Treats

Leave the tricks out of Trick-or-Treating this year. Infections by contagious viruses or bacteria are the source of the majority of sore throats. Since you and your little ones will be out and about for Halloween festivities, make sure you are prepared to encounter different germs and bacterial bodies.

Allergies, irritants—such as weather/climate change while outside, and reflux (from eating too much candy!) can be common causes for sore throats. Make sure to stock up on Vitamin C and other immune system boosters so a sore throat doesn’t turn into an infection or virus.

Should your symptoms persist, see a physician or your local specialists at Alexandria Otolaryngology Associates.
